Mental Health & Wellbeing
We have high expectations of our children at our schools. We understand that good mental health is a vital part of achieving this. We teach our children the early skills they will build on through their lives to help protect them from the stress and anxiety of modern life.
The following resources are a selection of our advice leaflets and links to national and local support. If you need someone to talk to then our doors are always open and we will listen, not judge and help where we can.

Every Mind Matters
Every Mind Matters website was launched in October 2019. It aims to make talking about mental health issues or concerns, as normal as talking about the weather. It features a short quiz designed to test your wellbeing and advice about what to do if you need some help. Click on the link below.

West Yorkshire Night Owls
A new West Yorkshire based overnight listening service for children, young people, and their parents/carers experiencing mental health; call, text or chat.
National mentoring service providing 6 weekly sessions of online/virtual emotional support for parents/carers of children with additional needs who are on the pathway to diagnosis or have received one in the last year.
Domestic Abuse is any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are, or have been, intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality. The abuse can include, but is not limited to:
It can happen in any relationship, and even after the relationship has ended. Both men and women can be abused or abusers. There does not need to be violence for it to be an abusive relationship.
Domestic abuse can seriously harm children and young people. Witnessing domestic abuse is child abuse, and teenagers can suffer domestic abuse in their relationships.
