Peace of mind

All staff regard the welfare,  safety and protection of the children in our care as paramount. All staff, governors and students are DBS checked. We have Child Protection and Health and Safety policies, and co-ordinators who undertake regular training. We have qualified first-aiders. We ensure that all our equipment, resources and premises are well-maintained and of high quality and we encourage children to develop awareness of their own safety. We complete risk assessments prior to any trips away from school. Harewood Nursery has an Inclusion, Safeguarding/Child protection policy that sets out duties and responsibilities.

Harewood Nursery School child protection procedure is in accordance with the Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership procedures
