The pre-school is for children from age 2 to 3 years old. It provides children with a great start to their early education.
Sessions are held each morning Monday to Friday between 9 am and 12.00 am, and every afternoon Monday to Friday between 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm: during term time.
Places for pre-school need to be booked and paid for in advance each week or half term at a cost of £12.00 per session. We do have a waiting list so book a place early for your child if you are interested in a place.
These sessions are free if you are eligible for the 2 year old funding.
You may pay for additional sessions at a cost of £15 and bring a packed lunch.
We plan the pre-school curriculum around the seven areas of learning for the Early Years Foundation Stage, as set in the DFE guidance document. This document sets the Standards for Learning, Development and Care for children from birth to five.
Copies of this document are available for any parent/carer to look at in school.
Children’s activities are planned to cover seven areas of learning.
- The prime areas (3)
- Communication and language
- Physical development
- Personal, social and emotional development
- The specific areas (4)
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design
Each child is unique and we strive to meet individual needs by offering a broad and balanced curriculum.
Careful thought is always given to providing equal opportunities and multicultural education.
